TITLE: Waiter/ Waitress
REPORTS TO: Dietary Manager
Non-Exempt
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The primary purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. As a Dietary Waitress / Waiter, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up serving line with cold foods, condiments, serving containers, dishes, silver, etc.
- Work cold or hot food stations for serving trays.
- Sets up trays quickly and accurately in a neat, attractive arrangement.
- Collects soiled trays, returns and scrapes them in dishwasher room.
- Serves late or hold trays.
- Keeps refrigerators and other work areas clean.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Dietary Manager or Assistant Dietary Manager.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS:
- Highly focused and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions
- Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED
- On the job training provided.
