FP&A Sr Manager
Magnolia Medical Technologies is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Sr Manager for Financial Planning and Analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience communicating cross functionally to deliver and integrate financial and contextual information into the financial processes. The FP&A Sr Manager will be responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support the company’s growth and financial objectives. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across departments, provide insights into financial trends, and ensure that business decisions are backed by sound financial data.
The FP&A Sr Manager will work with an Accounting team and Managers throughout Magnolia Medical Technologies to drive predictable budgeting, tracking and reporting, ensuring that tools, systems and processes are aligned to deliver results. This role reports to the Head of Accounting and Finance and is located at our downtown Seattle Headquarters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning & Forecasting:
Lead the company’s financial planning process, including annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts. Develop, and continuously update, long-term financial models and scenario plans. - Analysis & Reporting:
Provide insightful analysis on key financial and operational metrics. Prepare regular financial reports for senior leadership, highlighting trends, variances, and actionable insights to optimize performance. - Business Partnering:
Partner with functional leaders across the organization, with a focus on supporting the commercial organization (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, etc.). Ensure alignment on financial targets and help drive financial discipline and decision-making. - Sales Analytics: Support the commercial team with sales analytics, including sales performance metrics, customer segmentation, sales forecasting, and identifying growth opportunities. Provide actionable insights to help drive sales strategies and improve revenue generation.
- Cost Management & Optimization:
Track and report on operational costs and identify areas for cost optimization. Support in pricing and profitability analysis for new products and services. - Pricing & Contracting Analysis: Assist in pricing strategies, evaluating contracts, and analyzing the financial impact of pricing decisions and contracts with customers and suppliers. Provide recommendations based on data-driven insights to optimize revenue and margin.
- Variable Compensation Plans:
- Support the development and analysis of variable compensation plans, including sales commissions, bonuses, and incentive structures. Ensure alignment with company goals and monitor performance against compensation targets.
- Cash Flow Management:
Assist in managing cash flow projections and identify areas of risk or opportunities for improvement. - Continuous Improvements:
Evaluate and enhance financial systems, tools, and processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Implement best practices and technology solutions to optimize financial reporting and analysis.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus).
- 6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a high-growth or technology-driven industry (MedTech experience a plus).
- Experience supporting commercial organizations (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, etc.) with financial analysis, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Proficiency in sales analytics, including sales performance metrics, customer segmentation, and sales forecasting.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Experience in pricing strategies, contracting analysis, and supporting variable compensation plans is highly desired.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (D365 strongly preferred) and financial reporting/planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Planful, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex financial data in a clear and actionable manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally and influence business partners at all levels.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
