**Job Title:** Manual Lathe Operator
**Overview:**
Join our team as a CNC Lathe Operator and play a vital role in our manufacturing process. As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
**Duties:**
- Set up, operate, or tend lathe to turn, bore, thread or face bronze.
- Read blueprints.
- Adjust machine controls, do offsets and change tool settings in order to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
- Inspect work pieces to verify conformance with specifications, using instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Lift bronze castings or semi-finished pieces using a hoist, and position and secure them in machines, using fasteners and hand tools.
- Position, secure, and align cutting tools in tool holders on machines, using hand tools, and verify their positions with measuring instruments.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean work area.
