What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Montessori Teacher, Upper Elementary position at Magnolia Montessori Academy?
Magnolia Montessori is looking to hire a full-time teacher to work in our Upper Elementary Classroom (ages 9-12). We are looking for a motivated individual committed to learning the Montessori Philosophy. Candidates must be willing to work under the guidance of a Montessori Lead Teacher to help carry out the developmental and learning goals of the Montessori program. Candidates must be able to build genuine and respectful relationships with each child, maintain a positive and professional attitude, and implement strong classroom management skills.
This is a unique opportunity for individuals who hold a Florida teaching certificate and are willing to be trained in the Montessori Philosophy while gaining experience working as a teacher trainee.
The Montessori training will include:
- Montessori teacher training, which involves a summer residency and a year long internship working closely with a lead teacher.
- Opportunity to coach and be coached working within a team that models the Montessori method.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
- Teaching certification from the State of Florida
