My Story
Hi, I’m Beth Winkler, Co-Founder, Co-Owner, CEO, and PT at Magnolia Physical Therapy in the Greater New Orleans Region, and I’d love to share my story with you!
Like many of you, I started bouncing between different settings—Home Health, Hospitals, and high-volume Outpatient care. It was all about productivity and metrics : the number of evals, visits, units billed, and always having to finalize notes.
Sound familiar?
I remember coming home late at night, frustrated and burned out, wondering if this was really what I signed up for. Sure, I learned a lot from those jobs, but deep down, I knew I wanted to be different... and I think you do, too.
When I started working with my now business partner Lisa Taglauer, we began to see things in the outpatient clinic we were employed with to improve. When we met with the owners and had solutions to some of the problems they were facing, we were met with resistance. This is the moment we decided to open up our own clinic. We wanted to have a direct say in not only how patients were treated (we wanted more 1 : 1 care), but how we could make it operate efficiently while also have a LOT of fun with a value driven team.
It was nerve-wracking, but my frustration outweighed my fear. Soon, I noticed something remarkable : my patients were improving faster. Not because of new techniques or fancy equipment, but because they had my full attention. No rushing, no juggling patients. Just focused, personalized care.
Why We’re Different
That’s when I went all in, creating a space where patients receive 1-to-1 care—where we schedule 1.5 patients an hour. Over the years, we've grown and now have three locations in the Greater New Orleans Region, helping thousands of local residents. But what I’m most proud of is the culture we've built.
Here at Magnolia Physical Therapy, the metrics we care about aren’t volume or revenue; they're patient satisfaction and team retention. Most of our staff has been with us for years, and we’re blessed to have such a loyal and talented team. That’s why our core values at Magnolia Physical Therapy are focused on high-quality care, professional development, and work-life balance.
