Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in our assisted living facility environment. Your commitment to resident care and understanding of resident rights will ensure that those you support feel valued and respected. The schedule is a rotation of two nights on, two nights off, and a three-day weekend on; then two off, two on, and a three-day weekend off! This makes third shift much less trying and allows more time to rest, while providing 56-60 working hours every two weeks.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to residents by assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Observe and document patient behavior and changes in condition, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist residents with mobility needs, including helping individuals transfer safely as required.
- Foster a positive and engaging environment by participating in social activities and encouraging resident interaction.
- Uphold resident rights by ensuring privacy, dignity, and respect in all interactions.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents by adhering to hygiene standards and protocols.
- Two hour room checks to ensure resident safety.
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in patient care, home care, or social work is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of an assisted living environment is a plus.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize changes in patients' conditions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to assist individuals with mobility and transfer as needed while maintaining safety protocols.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to providing respectful care in all situations.
