What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Leasing Consultant position at Magnolia Point Apartments?
Our company is seeking a Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic, growing team at the Magnolia Point apartment community!
Multi-family leasing experience is preferred, but this is an entry-level position, so we are willing to train!
In addition to your hourly wage, you will also earn $50 for every executed 12-month lease you personally secure and you will share in a monthly bonus for all lease renewals! Our company also offers a comprehensive benefits package to include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability coverage. Paid time off includes paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
The Leasing Consultant is the primary sales representative for our multi-family apartment communities.
The hours will be Monday - Friday, from 8:00am - 5:00pm and rotating Saturdays, from 10am - 4pm. You will receive a day off during the week when you are scheduled to work Saturday.
Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greets visitors, prospective residents, current residents, and vendors
- Presents the features and benefits of the community to secure new leases
- Leases vacant and upcoming vacant units by qualifying potential residents as per Fair Housing Guidelines and company policies and procedures
- Inspects model, available market-ready, and newly leased (soon to move-in) apartments and communicates related service needs
- Prepares work orders for service
- Promotes positive resident relations and provides customer service and responsiveness to resident’s needs and concerns
- Responds to phone and email inquiries from prospective residents
- Applies sales techniques to schedule tours of the property and close leases
- Collects required information from prospective residents to qualify residents for a lease and collects initial rent and deposit payments
- Participates in training in order to comply with new or existing laws
- Assists with collections
- Performs administrative tasks when necessary, to include distributing parking stickers
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- 2 years of experience as a Leasing Consultant highly desired, but will train the right person
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Fluent English AND Spanish speaking/writing is required
- Knowledge of the Internet, email, and social media as it pertains to marketing of the community
- Competence in personal computer skills, to include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) as well as Rent Manager
- Solid understanding of the Fair Housing Act, as well as apartment management laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels
- Strong customer service, conflict resolution, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and the ability to be pleasant under all circumstances
- Superior sales knowledge and skills
- The ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Attention to detail
- A professional appearance and represent the company in a professional manner at all times
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when necessary
- Ability to develop a thorough knowledge of lease terms, rental rates, floor plans, amenities, specifications, and community policies
