Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of psychiatric disorders. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care and support for individuals facing mental health challenges.
This job is in person in the clinic.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday 8am to 7pm. (one hour lunch)
or
Monday through Friday 11am to 7:30pm (30 minute lunch)
Supervising physician is provided by company
Professional liability insurance is provided by company
Credentialing is provided by company

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients 6 years old through end of life.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide medication management, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications.
- Engage in therapeutic communication and counseling with patients to promote mental wellness.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the management of patient care.
- Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure continuity of services.
- Stay informed about advancements in psychiatric nursing practices and mental health treatments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Current unrestricted state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. (PMHNP-BC)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
