What you will be doing:
We are looking for a highly motivated and charismatic person with the desire to provide excellent customer service to join our sales team! This position is responsible for increasing business travel room revenue by growing production of existing special corporate/preferred corporate accounts; and implementing and executing programs for special corporate/preferred corporate transient sales at Magnolia Hotel St. Louis.

What you will be doing:
- As part of the Sales team, you will make clients feel valued and assist in creating memorable guest experiences.
- Actively solicits new accounts to meet/exceed goals through telephone sales calls, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
- Maintain existing relationships with key account contacts by communicating on a routine basis.
- Prospect local corporate accounts and develop strategies to increase business travel revenues.
- Work closely with hotel departments to help facilitate services agreed upon by sales office. Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction.
- Participate in daily meetings, site inspections, training.
- Attend trade shows, local events and travel pertinent to the position.
- Execute marketing programs and promotions as needed
- Report to Director of Sales & Marketing
- Must possess communications skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals and hotel guests
- Advanced knowledge of sales/hospitality principles and practices
- Ability to investigate and analyze current activities or information in the sales/marketing field and make logical conclusions and recommendations
- Ability to make decisions based on established policies and procedures
- Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current and potential clients
- Use professional sales techniques to negotiate the best possible terms and conditions that satisfy customer (internal and external) requirements
- Manage accounts ensuring pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented
- Maintain hotel relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and account revenue
- Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients
Your experience and skills include:
- Understands the overall market, competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Experience with Lightspeed PMS preferred
- Experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area. OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 1 year of experience in sales and marketing or related professional area.

- Familiar with legal and contractual agreements
