Seeking an individual who can:
- Communicate with the Dispatch / Driver Supervisor/ Terminal Coordinator to rectify problems such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance.
- Assist with projects and performed other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED and Class A Commercial Driver’s License (waived at some locations without leaving the yard).

- Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 75 lbs.
- Standing/walking and climbing is 50%, and sitting and driving is 50%.

The Yard Driver is responsible for maintaining and moving trailers in and out of docks or around the truck yard. Yard Driver should possess adequate communication skills to understand written and spoken instructions, excellent safety awareness, and a sufficient level of physical fitness.
- Operate semi-truck with one trailer, according to state laws in a safe manner.
- Chock rear wheels of truck or trailer before any loading / unloading takes place.
- Daily Yard Checks.
- Coordinate trailer repairs.
- Inventory trailer equipment.
- Oversee daily operation of the yard.
- Driving and backing trailers to and from docks and drop yards.
- Picking up and sweeping inside of trailers.
- Occasional opportunities to pull doubles to our Western Terminals.
- Couple or uncouple trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting, or disconnecting air or electrical lines, or manipulating fifth-wheel locks.
- Occasional opportunity to pick up and deliver loads to customers as needed.
