What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freight Handler position at Magnum Companies?
The LTL Freight Handler is responsible for the timely and accurate loading and unloading of semi-trailers at an assigned Magnum LTL location.
- Unload freight from incoming semi-trailers at dock on receiving side of warehouse.
- Reload manifest, match product in trucks to specified delivery products and locations
- Inspect freight for damage
- Enter necessary data into computer
- Reload freight into appropriate trailer at loading dock for driver to deliver utilizing propane powered and / or sit-down style forklifts and hand loading.
- Maintain clean environment, including removing broken pallets, sweeping inside of trailers, etc.
- Assist with projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to fluently read, speak, and write English to complete necessary paperwork and communicate with supervisors and co-workers. Schedule : 5 : 00PM - 10 : 30PM, Monday - Friday (Part-time)
