What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager - Construction position at Magnum Construction Management (MCM)?
Summary
Maintains a safety and security plan for the assigned project(s). Makes and documents site visits & safety inspections. Review and investigate incidents and set corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence. Provides office and on-site training to employees and management.
Safety Documentation
· Timely reporting of incidents
· Proper investigation and follow-up
· Generates incident reports (OSHA Form No.)
· Keeps incident reports log up-to-date
· Performs root cause meetings in order to prevent future reoccurrence
Safety Training
· Performs safety training (toolbox talks, etc.)
· Keeps documentation of safety training
· Develop and maintain an incentive program
· Documents safety training
Enforcement of Safety Program
· Conducts job site safety inspections
· Prepares non-compliance letters
· Keeps non-compliance log updated
· Issues and keeps track of citations
· Reports safety non-conformances to Management
· Maintenances of traffic (MOT) control program.
· Maintains fire prevention program.
· Conducts safety meetings
· Defines hazardous materials program.
· Establishes and maintains accident reporting procedures
· Maintains weather emergency plan
Skills / Knowledge
· Detailed knowledge of OSHA and building code standards.
· Extensive history of successful completion of seminars and training programs regarding construction safety.

· Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or other construction-related field

· Confined Space Training
· CPR/First Aid Training

· Florida Advance Work Zone Traffic Control Course (MOT)
· Hazmat Certification Training
· ITE Training
· Mold and Moisture Infiltration Awareness Training
· OSHA 10 Training
· OSHA 30 Training
· OSHA 500 Training
· Rigging Training
· Scaffold Training
· Scissorlift Training
· Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
· Five (5) years or more experience on major construction projects with the implementation of full-time Safety Program
