Description
The Dock Supervisor is responsible for the timely and accurate loading and unloading of semi-trailers while managing freight handlers / dock workers at an assigned Magnum LTL location. Magnum hauls / delivers a variety of freight for our customers and partner carriers. Some examples may include paper products, household chemicals, alcohol, tobacco, and food-grade items.
Unload freight from incoming semi-trailers at the dock on the receiving side of the warehouse.
Reload manifest, match product in trucks to specified delivery products and locations
Inspect freight for damage
Enter necessary data into the computer
Reload freight into an appropriate trailer at the loading dock for the driver to deliver utilizing propane-powered and sit-down style forklifts and handloading
Maintain a clean environment, including removing broken pallets, sweeping inside of trailers, etc.
Assist with projects and perform other duties as assigned
Ability to fluently read, speak, and write English to complete the necessary paperwork and communicate with supervisors and co-workers
The candidate will need computer skills and forklift skills

Requirements
Seeking an individual who has :
Previous forklift experience.
Knowledge of general warehouse processes and procedures.
A high level of interpersonal skills to contribute to the team environment.
Attention to detail and possess skills to problem solve, verify, and communicate effectively.
The ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and meet deadlines in a rapid-paced environment.
The ability to be self-motivated, dependable, and trustworthy.

Education / Experience :
High School Diploma / GED anda valid driver's license (non-CDL).
Physical Demands :
Employees will work in a well-lit warehouse environment, with loading docks on both sides and concrete floors. Exposure to noise and changes in temperature depending on the time of year, down to about 45 degrees.
Tools, machines, and equipment utilized : propane-powered and sit-down style forklifts, pallet jacks, computers to key in data, and hand-held scanners.
Amount of each day spent : Standing / Walking : 50% Sitting : 50% Working Inside : 90% Working Outside : 10%.
Must be able to alternate walking, standing, sitting, twisting, bending, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing, carrying, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 75 pounds. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
