What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical BIM Modeler position at Magnum Electric Inc?
Magnum Electric is currently seeking an Electrical BIM Modeler in our West Fargo ND office.
The ideal individual is someone who has 2 years of electrical design experience with BIM modeling software and a knowledge of electrical construction. Magnum Electric is a growing company working on commercial/hospitality/medical/light industrial projects throughout the nation. We have multiple offices in four states with our headquarters in West Fargo, ND. If you are motivated, organized, detail oriented and driven to succeed, please read on!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- The integration and coordination of technical designs with internal and external team members using BIM software
- An understanding of electrical system components
- Ability to modify, redesign, comment on engineering plans and prepare documentation for construction
- Conferring with team members concerning technical issues to resolve design issues
- Ability to perform basic drafting
- Assist estimating team when needed
- Work with project team to identify and coordinate prefabrication assemblies/components
- Ability to read plans and specifications and perform engineering calculations
- Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail
- Stay updated on evolving industry standards
Requirements include but are not limited to:
- 2 years of Electrical design experience with BIM modeling (preferred)
- Knowledge of electrical construction
- Strong working knowledge of either Revit/AutoCad/Naviswworks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with Bluebeam, or ability to quickly learn
- Must be able to efficiently manage time and meet deadlines
