The Diesel Technician is responsible for routine and preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing of diesel engine semi-tractors and trailers.

  • Oversee advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on tractors and trailers.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for complex technical issues within the shop department.
  • Perform repairs such as HVAC, ABS, aftertreatment diagnosis and repairs, APU’s, communication and tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with management to develop maintenance schedules and prioritize repairs to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Conduct quality control checks on repairs performed by team members to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Performs, trains, and mentors entry-level and mid-level team members, fostering skill development across the department.
  • Proactively research and implement industry best practices and emerging technologies
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies while handling tools and chemicals.
  • Qualified to perform OEM warranty work.
