What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatch Supervisor position at Magnum, LTD?
The Floating Dispatch Supervisor supports the Dispatch/Load Management and Fleet Management operations through accurate and timely data entry and general office duties. Typical office hours will rotate between the evening and day shift.
- Contact and communicate professionally with drivers & customers to establish load appointments.
- Assist dispatch/load managers in customer relations.
- Enter accurate and complete load information into the computer system, including all data necessary for fleet managers and their drivers to deliver freight on time successfully.
- Assist in the complete and timely billing process, eliminating time spent securing additional information from other departments.
- Post equipment boards.
- Run reports for Fleet Operations Manager/Terminal Coordinator, including weekly run load status report to monitor timely and accurate pickup and delivery information.
- Monitor incomplete trip sheets and secure necessary paperwork to complete the billing process.
- Work with the dispatch team to create and track KPIs, as assigned by the fleet operations manager/terminal coordinator.
- Administer Magnum LTD’s On Time Pickup and Delivery program, including weekly monitoring to ensure all pick-up and delivery information has been accurately entered. The Administrative Assistant will monitor the On Time Program for all core customers with annual revenue of over $200,000 and provide selected customers with a monthly On Time report summary.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
