What You Will Do
- Assist in analyzing and improving manufacturing processes for enhanced productivity and reduced waste.
- Support the design and implementation of process improvements and process controls.
- Track and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure process efficiency, quality, and overall performance.
- Collaborate with multiple departments across the company, including production, sales, and customer service, to standardize processes.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to identify trends and inefficiencies.
- Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and process optimization assessments.
- Help create process documentation, including work instructions and process flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure product quality is maintained during process changes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and participate in problem-solving efforts to resolve process issues.
- Present findings and suggestions to senior engineers and teams.
What You Will Need:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively, both in-person and virtually.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may involve standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Some hands-on activities involving equipment and machinery may be required.
- Adherence to safety protocols is a must.
