Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Account Manager to join our team following a shift in our sales structure. You will oversee key client accounts, drive new business development, and provide leadership in our sales efforts within the foodservice manufacturing and chain sectors. This role is perfect for an ambitious professional with a track record of success in customer facing roles, sales focus and a knack for building lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Manage and grow relationships with key clients, including foodservice manufacturers, distributors, dealers and chains, ensuring their cleaning supply needs are met with Magnus solutions.
- Business Development: Identify, pursue, and close product sales opportunities within the foodservice industry, targeting existing and new manufacturers, distributors, dealers and chains to expand our client base.
- Sales Leadership: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals, providing guidance to internal teams on client priorities and market opportunities.
- Account Oversight: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless product delivery and resolve complex client issues, acting as the primary point of escalation.
- Market Insight: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs to position Magnus as a market leader and inform product or service enhancements.
- Reporting & Analysis: Track sales performance, maintain detailed client records, and provide actionable insights to leadership on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years of sales or account management experience, with at least 2 years in a customer facing role, ideally in B2B sales or the foodservice/cleaning supply industry.
- Skills:
- Proven ability to drive sales growth and manage high-value client relationships.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of foodservice manufacturers, equipment and/or chain operations preferred; familiarity with cleaning products is a strong plus.
- Education: College degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferable (or equivalent experience).
- Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email platforms (e.g., Outlook), and virtual meeting tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
- Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area; 25-50% travel required to meet clients, some global travel.
