What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Magnuson Grand Pikes Peak Hotel?
Magnuson Grand Pikes Peak Hotel is currently hiring a Housekeeper for our team. We are looking for a professional Housekeeper able of attending to our facilities with integrity and attention to details. To create a clean and orderly environment for our guests. Must be able to multi-task and prioritizes with excellent customer service while maintaining a positive respectful guest relation at all times. Needs to be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts including days, weekends, holidays and special events.
Job Functions:
- · Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
- · Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
- · Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- · Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances
- · Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- · Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
- · Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
- · Ability to maintain a high level of performance
- · Customer-oriented and friendly
- · Prioritization and time management skills
- · Working quickly without compromising quality
- · Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers/bathtubs, counter tops, and sinks
- · Making beds and changing linens
- · Washing windows
- · Vacuuming and cleaning carpets and rugs
- · Sorting, washing, loading, and unloading laundry
- · Keeping bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies
- · Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste
- · Steaming and cleaning draperies
- · Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements

Qualifications:
- · Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- · Ability to multi task
- · Ability to work under pressure
- Must be able to lift 25 – 50 lbs.
- Must be able to spend the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing/pulling, crouch, and kneeling while cleaning
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be flexible in hours and days available to work. Work shifts vary by day and week and depending upon business needs.
- Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment with multiple interruptions
- Work quickly without compromising quality
- Ability to work as part of a team
