What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Cook position at MAGPIES SOFTSERVE?
Magpies Softserve Highland Park is now accepting applications for Pastry Cooks!
This is a part time position 20-29 hours a week, 3-4 days. Salary depends on experience.
Requirements:
-1-2 years Kitchen Experience REQUIRED with work REFERENCES. We need solid pastry cooks who CARE for the product. Attention to detail is a must. Organized and CLEAN!!! We take cleanliness very seriously.
-Experience must include basic piping skills for decorating cakes/pies
-Must be able to taste everything, this includes dairy, dairy alternative milks (almond, oat, rice, coconut milks)
-MUST have Food safety knowledge and valid Food Handlers Certificate
-You must be able to follow instructions.
- You MUST be FAST If you don't have the sense of urgency or a pep to your step, this job isn't for you.

Physical Demands: Must be able to work in a standing position for prolonged periods of time. Be able to safely lift, carry, and easily maneuver objects that can weigh up to 50 pounds.
