Job Description:
Mahan Rykiel Associates is currently seeking a Landscape Designer (0-2 years of experience) to join our growing team of award-winning designers in Baltimore, MD. As a new member of our team, you can expect a diverse role within our office that allows you to collaborate with each of our design studios and project teams. You will have the opportunity to work within all phases of the design process from conceptual design through construction documents and implementation. Candidates will work closely with senior designers and project managers on multiple project typologies, which will require strong graphics, excellent communication, and organizational skills. What are We Looking For?
Experience & Education:
- 0-2 Years of Professional Experience
- Accredited degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture or Urban Design
Professional Skills:
- Team player, passionate, and self-motivated professional
- Strong sense of design and detailing; experience in rendering, modeling, design, and construction documentation with quality-built projects
- Collaborative thinking and design coordination with internal and external teams
- Ability to work on multiple assignments and balancing project responsibilities
Technical Skills & Expertise
- Excellent graphic (computer and/or hand), verbal, and written communication skills
- Creative thinking and design ability
- Demonstrated experience in the development of construction drawings for Experienced Candidates
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Revit experience desired
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Proficient in 3D Modeling (Rhino, SketchUp, Lumion and Enscape)
- Planting knowledge and site grading experience desired
