Complete DescriptionThe NC Department of Health and Human Services requires the services of a Batch Operations Technician to support the day-to-day batch operation tasks and deliverables within enterprise batch processing of the NC FAST system's batch architecture. This position primarily works outside of standard business hours to support overnight batch operations and will be scheduled for significant overnight work.
This position will provide production operations support by performing and monitoring batch execution, verifying results, and participating and supporting all nightly production operations environments that consist of multiple servers, batch mode processing and execution of client specific production cycles. This role performs first level analysis of all data interface processing exceptions, logs, and escalates unresolved specific issues and problems for resolution following defined on call support paths.
Resolve errors and escalates items as necessary by working with functional teams to drive timely analysis and solutions to meet the Application's service level objectives. This position also helps the batch monitoring team to support the batch operations of assigned applications by analyzing production workflows, making recommendations to improve job schedule performance, providing rapid support during outages, and providing workload automation forecasts. Other tasks include working with the technology design team to provide support to ensure that the backup and recovery systems are providing the service necessary to meet our service level agreement (SLA) for business continuity and working with application support teams and business owners to determine acceptable levels of service and help develop the incident management procedures.
