What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative Saginaw position at MAHAR?
Essential Functions:
- Receives and processes quotes and orders via fax, phone, mail, EDI and e-mail per customer request; verifies pricing and availability
- Expedites orders to buyers per customer request
- Fields customer complaints in an effort to resolve problems and ensure satisfaction
- Maintains and updates information on customer open order report spreadsheet
- Communicates urgent order to buyers and management as appropriate and monitors items until shipment to customer is made
- Runs various reports per customer and/or salesperson request
- Creates transfer orders from the main warehouse to a remote warehouse for Tool Management customers
- Assists with projects as assigned by management
- Helps to eliminate slow and non-moving items in main warehouses
- Updates customer pricing records as necessary based on current pricing
- Communicates order updates to customers as needed
- Processes customer returns as needed
- Communicates with outside sales regarding account and order information
- Performs mentoring & training as needed
- Assists management in developing and implementing continuous improvements throughout all functions
- May run reports for replenishment to customer location and ordering controls
- May process inventory usage/count sheets to maintain accurate customer stock levels
- May process and submit monthly summary billing reports to customer
- May complete and process item plan change forms
- May generate direct shipment or repair purchase orders
- Assumes responsibility and authority for executing job related duties outlined in the Mahar Tool Supply Co., Inc. Quality Manual

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to perform 90 – 100% of the required work efficiently on a computer, including using purchasing ERP systems and the MS Office suite
- Ability to prioritize work and complete all that is necessary
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships
- Must be able to pass drug screen and yield satisfactory results from a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 – 5 years of experience in customer service in a similar industry
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Office environment.
Must be able to sit and type for extended periods of time
Required to view computer screen for long periods of time
Job Summary:
