JOB SUMMARY:

With general supervision, inspects all incoming Maharam & Knoll Textile products, including upholstery, wallcovering, window covering, leather, and rugs and other products on QA Inspection Hold

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Inspects all upholstery fabrics or wall covering on QA Inspection Hold

• Inspects select international / consignment orders prior to shipping

• Inspects all sample replacement orders

• Inspects all Quality returns (RA’s) from the field

• Enters detailed inspection report information on all orders inspected

• Physically lifts and/or moves all bolts required to perform inspection

• Maintains, cleans, and washes down test wall

• Maintains and keep test hang area clean

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Knowledge of defect nomenclature

• Know how to run inspection frame

• Know how to operate high/low

• Work independently

• Good sense of color and must be able to differentiate between shades of the same color

• Must be able to recognize variation in color / shade, and will be tested on their ability to discern color / shade variation within the same pattern

• Must be physically able to lift bolts of fabric and wall coverings

• The candidate will be trained in current ERP system and will need to perform their QA Inspections within this system

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

A starting compensation range for this role is $18.10 - $23.03. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
