Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:
- Plans, organizes, implements, and monitors the activities of the medical weight loss program in coordination with providers and others with clinical expertise.
- Facilitates program activities and coordination.
- Assists in the development and review of processes and protocols.
- Tracks data and outcomes to ensure established measures are met.
- Establishes databases for statistical monitoring and evaluation.
- Ensures insurance coverage for key components of the medical weight loss program.
- Conducts intake and ensures requirements for program are met.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships necessary to carry out program goals and objectives with leadership, department managers, staff, and providers.
- In collaboration with other team members, prepares progress reports on activities and outcomes for the Executive Team and Quality Committees.
- Participates in sharing and communicating the program results at relevant Committee and Board meetings.
- Provides education to patients, families, community, and staff, as directed by program leaders.
Requirements include but are not limited to:
- Current Iowa RN/LPN, CMA certification, or degree in allied health field, with minimum 3 years of healthcare experience.
- Experience in successful program development preferred
- Knowledge of Joint Commission regulations.
- Excellent clinical and communication skills.
- Must have analytical problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to coordinate and communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, and medical staff.
- Must have the ability to prioritize.
- May have access to personal health information ("PHI") necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.
- Computer proficiency includes the ability to utilize software programs used by the organization.
- Able to perform and prioritize multiple functions or tasks.
- Able to read and interpret technical instructions related to the care of the patient/ client.
- Able to effectively deal with multiple changes.
- Required to be current in BLS (Basic Life Support) by the standards of the American Heart Association.
- Will be required to show proof of having completed Mandatory Reporter course at the time of hire or attend within 6 months of the start date.
- Must adhere to all training requirements as mandated by Federal, State, and Professional licensure and regulatory standards.
