Hours: Full-time - Monday - Friday
On Site - Mahaska Health
Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:
- Participate in the completion of the month end close process.
- Complete assigned journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and reports as assigned.
- Review financial results to identify variance drivers and trends in results.
- Compile and distribute periodic departmental financial results to directors and executive team.
- Regularly meet with departmental leadership to review financial results and trends.
- Assist in the development of provider and service line P&Ls.
- Identify and develop any reporting and financial matrix that would further assist in the review of financial activity in the hospital.
- Contribute to the completion of yearend financial close and yearend financial audit.
- Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Display empathy and exemplary customer care skills.
- Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for his/her own practice
- Develop and retain knowledge of departmental and hospital protocol and know how to access resources appropriately.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred or associate's degree in business or accounting or equivalent applicable experience required.
- One to three years of previous financial analysis experience.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organization and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
- Able to multitask efficiently and prioritize effectively.
