As an eCompressor Product Engineering Intern, you will be part of our Compressor Product Engineering Group, which is responsible for the development of automotive air conditioning compressor designs for global customer vehicle applications.
Your tasks will include working within the MAHLE Compressor Product Development team to advance product development and customer launch activities, assisting with preparation, build, and testing of compressor product samples, coordinating and executing test programs, analyzing test data and organizing results with observations and conclusions, and applying engineering practices to reach design solutions.
You will also have the opportunity to work on cross-functional teams related to customer program launch activity, participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions, and meet with outside suppliers/vendors.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of precision rotating equipment, as well as experience reading technical drawings and interpreting geometric dimension and tolerancing. Additionally, you should have skills in analysis, high-level mechanical aptitude, project and time management, and AutoCAD drafting.
