Electronic and mechatronics components play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of the powertrain and advancing e-mobility.
Your Contribution
The eCompressor Product Engineering Intern will support our Compressor Product Engineering Group in launching automotive air conditioning compressor designs for global customer vehicle applications.
- Work within the MAHLE Compressor Product Development team to advance product development and customer launch activities.
- Assist with preparation, build, and testing of compressor product samples.
- Coordinate and execute test programs.
- Analyze test data and organize results with observations and conclusions.
- Apply engineering practices to reach design solutions.
- Participate in product cost and quality improvement efforts.
- Participate in cross-functional teams related to customer program launch activity.
- Meet with outside suppliers/vendors.
- Operate machine tools / produce product components.
Your Experience & Qualifications
In pursuit of a college degree from a 4-year University in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Minor in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Class Standing: Sophomore, Junior or Senior.
- Precision Rotating Equipment knowledge and/or experience is a plus.
- Experience reading Technical Drawings and interpreting DG&T (Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing).
- Skills: Analysis, High-level Mechanical Aptitude, Project and Time Management, AutoCAD Drafting.
