What are the responsibilities and job description for the HSE & Training Representative position at MAHLE?
MAHLE Lifecycle and Mobility is the business unit specializing in spare parts and services for the aftermarket. It uses the expertise from original equipment series production for its established product range and additional competence in electrification and digitalization and supplies partners in the trade, workshops, and engine repair shops. The products developed by the MAHLE Service Solutions business segment for workshop equipment, as well as comprehensive services and individual training offers, complete the portfolio.
Your Contribution
As an HSE & Training Representative reporting to the Plant Manager, you will confer and cooperate with management personnel with OSHA standards and requirements.
- Reviews and analyzes expenditure, financial and operations reports to determine requirements for obtaining safety goals for each facility and company goals
- Prepares recommendations on findings for management evaluation
- Recommends and signs off on acquisition of new equipment (Safety requirements only)
- Ensure a safe work environment for all employees
- Ensures compliance with OSHA/TOSHA standards, legal codes, fire codes, and local regulations
- Ensures compliance with EPA regulations, as required
- Worker’s Compensation Administrator including reporting results, monitoring costs, and coordinating with Workers’ Compensation Third Party Administrator
- Record keeping for all OSHA/TOSHA, worker’s compensation, and training documentation
- Development and facilitation of plant Safety Committee and Responder Teams
- Administration of Emergency Response plans for all facilities
Your Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in safety related field preferred, or related work experience equivalent. Certification in industrial safety should be obtained within two (2) years of placement in this position
- Must be able to facilitate meetings
- Must have strong administrative and presentation skills
- Knowledgeable in use of spreadsheets (Excel) processing (Word) software, and Lotus Notes a must
