Small Parcel Supervisor

Your Contribution

As a Small Parcel Supervisor reporting to the Head of Warehouse, Olive Branch , you will be responsible to direct daily activities of personnel to enhance overall efficiencies and accuracies of all processes required to obtain products in Handling Units from staging locations and process through to goods issued daily for all shipments for MAHLE’s Lifecycle and Mobility business segment.

This Role Is Responsible To

• Assign work and maintain workflow at optimum levels for domestic and export shipments. Communicate and maintain company policies and discipline.
• Ensure work meets or exceeds quality standards for all processes.
• Direct timely completion of assigned Corrective Action Requests, daily assignment and verification of aisles/areas for cleanup and 5S.
• Direct daily rack attack crews to engage employees and ensure the right part is in the location, no mixed parts in any bin, remove trash & empty boxes, remove damaged products with location ID for scrapping, and ensure part numbers are facing up and out for the pickers.
• Perform daily reporting of metrics on local SFM boards & daily operations meeting board.
• Implement actions to achieve department KPI’s while identifying new ideas and processes to improve efficiencies and reduce wastes.
• Monitor reports for old orders, incomplete warehouse tasks, and goods issue not complete.
• Prioritize and coordinate with group leaders, SAP Coordinators, and customer service to schedule customer orders to meet delivery and productivity requirements.
• Monitor and disposition all pallets/bin boxes/products in area of responsibility for correct status identification.
• Perform Safety Observation Tour monthly and conduct rack inspections weekly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while m onitoring and disposing of all pallets/bin boxes/products in area of responsibility for correct status identification.
• Oversee and execute corporate transportation strategies that utilizes Wave Planning processes that prioritizes the daily workflow to meet business needs in a multiple client distribution environment.
  
  

Your Experience & Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of supervisory experience
• Prior distribution, logistics or 3PL experience.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• SAP, Manhattan, Oracle or JBA experience preferred
• Ability to operate material handling equipment required in department is preferred
