Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including urgent care, home care, and nursing homes. As an FNP, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients while ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that may include prescribing medications, therapies, or referrals to specialists.
- Administer Botulinum toxin treatments as needed for cosmetic or therapeutic purposes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and lifestyle changes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within Level II Trauma Centers to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records using ICD-10 coding for diagnoses and treatments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions and documentation.
- Perform basic life support as required in emergency situations.
- Assist with lifting and transferring patients when necessary to ensure their safety and comfort.
Experience
- A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required.
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is essential.
- Previous experience in urgent care or home care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with nursing home environments is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating leadership skills when needed.
