Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and taking drink orders in a friendly manner.
- Maintain an organized bar area, ensuring all supplies are stocked and equipment is clean.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing tabs.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders when necessary.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar for special events or banquets.
- Stay informed about new products, trends in the industry, and menu changes.
Skills
- Experience in a banquet or nightclub setting is preferred.
- Strong sales skills to promote drink specials and upsell menu items.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques is a plus.
- Proficient in basic math for handling cash and calculating bills accurately.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Excellent hospitality skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
- Cash handling experience is essential for managing transactions effectively.
- Understanding of retail math concepts to assist with inventory management.
