We are looking for a Production Technician to join our Saint Joseph, MO team. The Production Technician performs the necessary production plant duties required for receiving and processing all raw materials. Storage and loading of finished product as well as general maintenance for plant, property and equipment. This is a full-time position starting at 8:00 am.
Starting hourly rate between $23-$24.50
Responsibilities include:
- Load and unload all trucks; wash all trucks and hoses.
- Ensure proper tools, equipment and supplies are on the truck each day.
- Maintain plant in a clean and orderly fashion at all times.
- Fully participate and support all safety initiatives.
- Maintain equipment and supply inventory, as directed.
- Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment.
- Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to the Shift Leader.
- Process raw material and prepare sales inventory for blending and loading, as directed.
- Process and load all used fryer oil in a manner that meets or exceeds Finished Oil customer requirements.
- Maintain equipment and supply inventory, as directed.
- Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Detail oriented and able to prioritize and problem solve tasks.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and punctual.
- Accepts learning new techniques, tasks, and positions.
Working conditions
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; kneel, climb ladders, and squat for extended periods.
- Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range.
- Fine hand manipulation.
- Must be able to lift 80 pounds, floor to waist.
