The Seasonal Laborer is the primary point of contact for drivers entering the Mendota plant. Responsibilities include assisting drivers as necessary with scaling in or out, processing paperwork, and ensuring the safety of all visitors and employees by adhering to safety rules and regulations. 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd shifts available. Starting hourly rate for the role is $18 an hour. AS A SEASONAL EMPLOYEE THIS POSITION DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR BENEFITS. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : - Greet and assist customers, providing accurate information in a friendly manner. - Weigh company and non-company trucks on truck scale before and after being loaded with aggregate products. Write or print delivery tickets for all loads of material leaving the yard. - Maintain accurate paperwork and filing. - Direct traffic within the facility for haulers and other visitors. - Verify incoming material, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. - Communicate with management and other employees as needed in a prompt and professional manner. - Keep the Scale House clean and organized. Skills Required : - Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required. - Proficient in computer usage and software (Microsoft Office, Outlook, MS Word, Excel). - Clear communicator and team player. - Valid U.S. Drivers License. - Work performed in both office and outdoor environments, exposed to all weather conditions. - Prolonged sitting and computer use. - Bending, stretching, reaching, and kneeling throughout the workday. - Occasional moderate to loud noise environment.
