OBJECTIVE
The Front-End Manager is responsible for supporting the General and Operations Manager. Additionally, to maintain efficient and effective register transactions for all store terminals, conduct company approved trainings for POS and policy updates, ensuring that cashiers continually engage with customers and execute all tasks in accordance with company policy. Continual oversight of all open registers is required to assist cashiers as needed with complex register transactions, customer inquiries, functionality issues and scheduled spot absences. Additional communication with store level management is required to review weekly schedules and matters related to cashier performance.

Monitor front-end register operations primarily the functionality of registers, assisting associates with manual transactions, troubleshooting solutions, and communicating issues to the proper channels
Ensure that cashiers are engaging with customers in accordance with company policies and procedures, assisting customers with product location knowledge Create and maintain scheduling of cashiers to ensure store is efficiently staffed
Provides POS related training materials and demonstrations to new employees, while providing on-going training and updates for current employees Maintain front-end store appearance of the registers, directing the cleaning and replacement of returned, broken and damaged items
Operate register terminals as needed, completing all related register functions including the activating, counting, and balancing of POS drawers to maintain proper cash and accurate POS transactions on a daily basis
Prepare register banks for daily submission to the cash office, completing the counting and reconciliation process for all banks in accordance with company policy and standards in support of the Inventory Control Associate
Support the movement of inventory by supporting department managers and associates in the loading and unloading of products as needed
Lead the hiring and interview process for all department related hiring needs through coordination with store management and the human resources team.
Complete all additional administrative tasks including the review and approval of weekly payroll as well as the annual performance management process to address areas of success and underperformance
Complete all other tasks as assigned by store management

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated progressive responsibility in retail store operations with work or personal experience in the horticultural or gardening fields preferred. 3 years' experience working with a POS system required, Counterpoint preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred. Demonstrated customer service skills. High School diploma or GED required.
