What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clubhouse Manager position at Mahoning Valley Scrappers?
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers are seeking candidates for an opening for the position of Clubhouse Manager. This is a seasonal position which will run from May through September 2025. The position requires that all applicants be available to work all home Scrappers home games during the 2025 season. This position reports directly to Scrappers Assistant GM of Operations & Scrappers General Manager.
CLUBHOUSE DUTIES:
· Oversee the operation of the home and visitors clubhouses as well as the umpires’ room. Maintaining a clean and professional atmosphere in all aspects. This includes regular vacuuming, sweeping, trash removal, and other general cleaning.
· Responsible for the laundry for home and visiting teams including game day uniforms, batting practice uniforms, and personal items.
· Responsible for organizing receipts and purchases made and communicating with Scrappers accountant.
· Handle all mail requests and mail distribution for players and staff.
· Load and unload equipment for all road trips. Assist players and staff with equipment needs as necessary.
· Assist in coordinating and serving pre and post-game meals.
· MANAGEMENT DUTIES:
· Coordinate post-game meal for players and coaches (home and visiting) after the game.
· Responsible for all uniform and equipment inventory pre and post season.
· Responsible for managing the bat boy schedule.
· Ensure team issued equipment is available on road trips for player transactions.
· Coordinate all batting practice equipment with coaches. Take equipment to the field as necessary.
· Facilitate communication between the Scrappers front office and the on-field team. Including coordinating player appearances, autographs, and jersey auctions.
· QUALIFICATIONS
· Passion for baseball and understanding of the game.
· Strong organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
· Physical ability to lift and carry equipment as needed.
