Mahoning Valley Scrappers – Concessions/Operations Internship
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers are now seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals to fill both full-time and part-time concessions/operations internships for the 2025 season. The internships will start in May and will conclude in September. The internship will consist of work in both stadium operations and food and beverage.
These positions will assist in the management of the food and beverage/catering across ballpark along with additional stadium operations preparation for the 2025 season.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Management of all food and beverage staff/volunteers, including training, delegating responsibilities
- Organization of all of food and beverage areas, products and proper maintenance of equipment
- Oversight of opening and closing of every concession area on a nightly basis
- Learn all aspects of TEAM food and beverage operations, including vendors, ordering, and stadium POS system.
- Assist with all food and beverage orders and proper rotation and inventory control of products
- Programming and setup of POS System
- Responsible for the general appearance and cleanliness of concession areas
- Assisting or helping to ensure that all aspects of concessions operations and stadium operations are completed in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Applicant must be available to work the majority of the Scrappers season and assist with any special events scheduled over the summer.
- Applicant must be willing to work long hours
- Applicant must have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment
- Applicant must be a team player and be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Strong communication and customer service skills a plus
- Food and beverage or operations experience recommended, but not required.
