What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mascot - Part Time position at Mahoning Valley Scrappers?
The mascot will represent the team by entertaining fans at home games, community events, and promotional activities. The mascot's role is to bring excitement, engage fans, and create a fun atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform as the mascot at games and events, entertaining fans of all ages.
- Interact with fans, take photos, and keep the crowd energized.
- Maintain and care for the mascot costume.
- Represent the team at public events, community outreach, and sponsor appearances.
- Work with the marketing/promotion team to develop and execute fun activities during games.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in performing or entertaining, especially as a mascot or in sports, is preferred.
- Friendly, energetic, and comfortable interacting with people of all ages.
- Must be creative, outgoing, and professional.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of baseball is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform in a mascot costume for long periods (up to 3-4 hours).
- Ability to move, dance, and engage with fans in the costume.
