GROUNDS MAINTENANCE - SEASONAL OPPORTUNITY
(May - August 2025)
Start Date: Mid-May 2025
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 32 hours per week (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $18 per hour
Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors and taking pride in well-maintained fields and public spaces? We’re looking for a Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Worker to help keep our school district and city fields in top shape this summer! This role is perfect for those who enjoy hands-on work, being part of a team, and making an impact on the local community.
- Work alongside our Buildings and Grounds team to groom, maintain, and line softball and baseball fields.
- Empty field trash bins and ensure playing areas remain clean and safe.
- Assist with irrigation needs and basic field maintenance.
- Paint soccer, football, lacrosse, and foul ball lines on grass fields.
- Perform routine maintenance on small engine equipment, including oil changes and power washing.
- Help move equipment and supplies across the district as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in outdoor field maintenance, landscaping, or lawn care.
- Must be 18 years or older and pass a background check.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience operating field maintenance equipment such as a Baseball/Softball Field Groomer, Gator, Toolcat/Bobcat, or Golf Cart.
- Ability to lift and carry over 50 lbs safely.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with school district and city grounds staff.
