CNC Machining Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Newark, NJ
Salary: $70,000 $120,000 annually (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machining Manufacturing Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and optimization of CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in machine setup, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance, with a focus on efficiency and quality. Experience with Biesse Rover CNC machines is a major plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Prepare CNC machines for production cycles by setting up and calibrating machine tools.
• Operation Oversight: Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, bits) to ensure precise operation.
• Inspection & Quality Control: Inspect parts using precision tools to ensure high-quality output, spotting and addressing defects.
• Maintenance & Repairs:
  • Perform periodic machine testing to prevent downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and fix issues during production shifts.
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance routines.
• Operator Training: Train team members on proper CNC machine operation and safety measures.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records for machine performance, maintenance schedules, and production results.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machining Manufacturing Engineer or similar role.
  • Familiarity with Biesse Rover CNC machines is highly desirable.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and CNC operations.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools and machine settings.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Personality: Detail-oriented, proactive, and dedicated to maintaining high operational standards.
• Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of maintenance planning and execution for CNC machinery.

Must-Haves

• Hands-on experience with CNC machine setup and operation.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and fixing machine-related issues.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices.
• Ability to train operators and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
