Position Overview
We are hiring a Estimating Manager – Custom Cabinetry & Construction to oversee and optimize our estimating and bidding processes. This leadership role involves managing a team, reviewing plans, strategizing with the sales team, and ensuring competitive, winning bids. If you are an Excel guru with a background in estimating and reading plans, and you’re ready to own the entire pipeline, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of estimators, including a bid assistant and detailer.
- Communicate with sales teams to fill out pre-bid forms and align with sales strategies.
- Review architectural drawings and specifications to prepare accurate estimates.
- Conduct material pricing calculations, incorporating all fees (shipping, taxes, overhead, commissions).
- Collaborate with vendors for quotes and negotiate pricing.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring profitability.
- Compile detailed proposals and scope-of-work documents to present bids effectively.
- Summarize complex data into actionable insights and communicate results clearly.
- Ensure all data and documentation are organized, accessible, and professionally presented.
