About the Role :
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Chief Estimator to lead our estimating team and oversee purchasing for large-scale construction projects . This role is for someone with deep expertise in construction drawings , strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex project budgets, procurement, and buyouts .
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee & lead the estimating department , ensuring accuracy in cost estimation and procurement.
- Manage centralized purchasing , ensuring materials are sourced within budget.
- Review bids, compile leveling sheets, and finalize vendor selections .
- Analyze construction drawings to assess scope and ensure precise budgeting .
- Create and manage GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) documents .
- Support junior estimators in writing proposals and improving their skills.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure alignment between estimates and execution.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously , requiring strong organizational and multitasking skills.
