GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The In-House Counsel will be responsible for providing legal support to the company, including but not limited to drafting and negotiating commercial leases and other agreements and contracts, working with outside counsel to handle collections and litigation matters, and working with various departments to provide general legal review and advice.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft and negotiate a broad range of corporate and commercial agreement.
- Deep understanding of professional services agreements and ability to close deals in a timely manner while minimizing risk with minimal supervision is required.
- Outstanding analytical, consulting, drafting, and negotiation skills with the ability to make well-reasoned legal and business judgment.
- Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights.
- Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces.
- Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization.
- Provide expert legal advice to senior management and executive team on various legal issues, including labor, ethics, corporate governance, and commercial matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company's interests.
- Manage litigation or legal proceedings involving the company, coordinating with external counsel as necessary.
- Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends to anticipate potential impacts on the company.
