Overview
Maid It Happen is seeking hardworking and reliable home cleaners to join our team. As a local business, we provide cleaning services to clients in the surrounding area. This position is an independent contractor cleaning position. As a contracted cleaner at our company, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule on our platform, specifying the hours you wish to work and the areas you prefer. Our friendly support team will handle booking appointments for you based on your availability. We believe in fairly compensating our cleaners for their hard work, and therefore offer pay above the region average. Specific details about the position will be discussed during the interview process.

Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Manage housekeeping tasks effectively to ensure all spaces meet cleanliness standards.
- Launder linens and other cleaning materials as needed to maintain hygiene.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, scrubbing, and polishing to keep floors in excellent condition.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and concerns promptly.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with residential cleaning tasks or commercial cleaning projects as required.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial work or housekeeping management is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and cleaning techniques for various environments.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Familiarity with both residential and commercial cleaning standards is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results in every task performed.
- Experience in hotel cleaning or similar environments is advantageous but not required.
Pre-Qualification Questions (MUST ANSWER)
- How many years of professional cleaning experience do you have? (Minimum 2-3 years)
- Do you have a valid Driver’s License and access to a personal motor vehicle?
- Will you be willing to consent to a background check prior to beginning the position?
- Do you have a smartphone?
- Do you understand this is an independent contractor position? (Must have in-depth understanding of what this means and check local independent contractor laws of your area to familiarize).
