Janitor

This is a once monthly, overnight floor scrub for our client in North Columbus. A 20" floor buffer (Swing Machine) is needed. Please let us know if you own your own machine. Other work may become available. We are an e-verify employer all employees must complete a successful e-verification prior to work beginning.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain and care for different types of flooring through buffing and floor care techniques.
• Conduct industrial cleaning in designated areas to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
• Execute custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings as needed.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, ensuring all areas are well-kept and functional.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling according to established guidelines.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning assignments are completed efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Skills in floor care, buffing, and residential painting are advantageous.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving equipment as necessary.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
