What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker with Pastry Expertise position at Maillard Patisserie?
Overview:
We are seeking a baker preferably with at least one year of scratch baking experience in a commercial setting to join our team. Our ideal candidate would have prior experience with cakes and tarts but we're willing to train the right person.
Our ideal candidate will have early morning (6 am) and weekend availability.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production of pastries
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Collaborate with other bakers to finish tasks in a timely manner
Experience:
- Previous baking experience is preferred and experience with cakes is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
