Main Event Caterers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Event Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support our Event Designer and Event Manager in providing exceptional service and cultivating strong client relationships. This is an entry-level role with opportunities for professional growth within the exciting food and beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new business prospects through proactive prospecting, community engagement, and networking; act as an MEC Brand Ambassador at community events and in local organizations.
• Build and maintain a strong client base by delivering exceptional service and nurturing long-term relationships.
• Support seamless event planning and execution by coordinating details and ensuring compliance with booking, accounting, and billing standards.
• Track industry trends, including food and beverage innovation, to keep our offerings competitive and relevant.
• Assist with coordinating client menu tastings, special requests, and communication to relevant team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the Event Designer and Event Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of sales and/or event coordination experience, ideally in a food and beverage setting.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet strict deadlines, and recommend solutions.
• Self-motivated with a high sense of urgency; able to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and resilience in handling challenges with maturity and diplomacy.
• Energetic, adaptable, and capable of managing diverse personalities and responding to changing situations.
• Basic knowledge of sales and event planning processes.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Pay: The pay for the Event Associate position is hourly and commensurate with experience. This role may require evening and weekend work to support event schedules.
