What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hostess (Host) position at Main Event Chesterfield?
As the Host/Hostess, you are the first point of contact at Main Event Chesterfield and set the tone for guests' experiences. You will answer phones, take reservations, and be responsible for seating guests according to server availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet each guest in a friendly and professional manner
- Escort guests to their table
- Communicate guest concerns to the manager as necessary
- Manage competing demands with patience and grace
- Acknowledge guests when they leave the establishment
You will also be responsible for:
- Answering the telephone within two rings using proper etiquette
- Accepting and organizing reservations, prioritizing them to accommodate guests
- Managing the wait list
- Preparing seating assignments prior to service
- Helping fellow team members when needed
- Upholding company processes and procedures
- Organizing, stocking, and cleaning the front area
- Completing beginning or closing shift duties
