Main Event - West Chester is seeking a full-time or part-time Restaurant Line Cook in West Chester Township, OH.
Job Summary:
This position involves executing line station menu items to exact recipe and plate presentation specifications, while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all food safety and workplace sanitation requirements.
- Ensure every item on the station is produced to exact recipe and plating specifications.
- Meet daily productivity standards as established by Kitchen Management.
- Set up the station with sufficient product and utensils and prepare cooking and food holding equipment for meal service.
- Prioritize cooking and preparation times of each order to ensure timely delivery of guest meals.
- Adjust ingredients and menu item preparation standards to accommodate guest special preparation requests.
- Clean work stations, equipment, and utensils, and maintain an organized food storage area at the end of each shift.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate and perform as part of a team.
- Ability to memorize and replicate recipe/menu item production procedures.
- Physical stamina to stand working for up to 10 hours.
- Ability to meet deadlines and production goals with limited supervision.
- Comfortable working in environments with significant temperature changes.
- Ability to handle stressful situations positively and supportively.
- ServSafe (Food Handlers Certification) is preferred but can be obtained after starting.
