*Must be available weekends and open to early morning shifts.
Main Grain Bakery in Stevens Point, WI is looking for a part-time employee. We are specifically looking for someone who is eager to learn, has a strong work ethic, and has a passion for baking, kitchen prep, & top notch customer service. The applicant must provide skills in prioritizing & completing tasks in a timely manner, as well as paying attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow recipes and prepare sandwiches, soups, & salads
- Weigh and measure ingredients
- Mix and blend batters
- Roll, knead, cut, or shape dough to form sourdough bread, sweet rolls, bars, cookies, & other products.
- Set oven temperatures and monitor or modify as needed
- Ice, glaze, and decorate baked goods
- Prepare and maintain inventory
- Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment
- Attention to detail in all aspects of baking
- Ability to lift 50 lb. bags of flour / ingredients
- Ability to confidently climb a ladder & move product
- Motivated to finish all tasks handed to them in an efficient manner
- Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking
- Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables
- Basic cooking functions such as soup making, and preparing sauces
- Label stock and inventory all ingredients
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- FRONT OF HOUSE :
- Greet customers and take orders with outgoing and friendly attitude
- Package special orders
- Open / Close shop
- Promote menu items
- Communicate with guests to ensure they have a great experience
- Address any concerns guests may have
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to communicate well with team members and follow direction from managers
- Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
- Experience is a plus, but not required
- Must be available early mornings and weekends
SHIFTS/HOURS REQUIRED :
- BAKING 4A-11A, 4:30A-12P, 5:00A-1P
- EATERY 8A-3P
- FRONT OF HOUSE 6:30A-2P, 8A-3P
- minimum 21 hours / week
